I have a similar case. I am a 2nd year transfer student. I am going for Acadia University Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering 3 years program), but I have got transfer credits for the first and half years. They did not change my LOA. Also, after finishing with Acadia, I am supposed to be automatically transferred to Dalhousie University to complete my Mechanical Engineering Degree, and this is not mentioned in the LOA but it is mentioned on Acadia University website. I feel like it is a complicated situation, and I am afraid it will cause further delays.

Edit: I just checked my letter again, it says:
Year of Study: First year of a 3 year program.
Duration of Program: 3 year(s) (may be reduced if transfer credits are awarded)
I guess I have to talk with the uni so that they clarify some stuff.
You should send them another LOA as soon as your transfer credits are finalized. It is super important because that will influence the duration of your study permit. Most likely they will grant you SP for the duration of your study in Acadia University unless you already have an acceptance from Dal

Hey Guys, I'm from India and applied for the visa under SDS category on 15th Oct (DLI already has approved readiness plan in place). I am considering to travel to Dubai to submit my biometrics since that is the only formality pending from my end. Just wanted to check if I give the biometrics in Dubai, will I have to submit my passport for visa stamp issuance in Dubai or India? I'm a little confused here and would appreciate if you could help.

As far as I remember from webinar, you can submit your biometrics at the VAC overseas, but you should submit your passport to your own VAC

Yeah I saw the webinar as well and know that we can travel to the location 'most convenient' as mentioned on the biometric confirmation letter as well although on the webinar the host mentioned that we might have to submit the passport there itself and hence would have to make travel plans accordingly. I don't might travelling overseas to complete the formality ASAP but am concerned if I would have to submit the passport there. It would be feasible to travel only if everything else would get processed here from India.
