13! Now that's just ridiculous and I thought 4 was a lot.

As explained by sheriB, ATIP's GCMS request does no damage to anything, as long as its not abused. It is one of your taxpayer's right!

Should you request it less often? probably yes, but getting angry, upset about nothing or condemning those who choose to exercise their rights makes no sense!

You don't know all the reasons why user828 applied for 13 notes, neither do you know all the circumstances sorrounding his application, so why say its ridiculous

During Parents Sponsorship - infact it helped me lessen the time frame which was already long as I sent them docs by looking at officer notes else they take extra 2-3 moths till it reaches you

If you must know, they inserted the wrong email ( missed a letter ) - which delayed many things and w/o getting into more details, the visa got delayed whereas my app was before others and but due to home/Canada office, many others got it 1 year before mine
GCMS helped me see what officer is asking, the notes and comments - so I could provide them with the doc enen before they ask me. In hindsight, the knowledge and notes from these GCMS helped other users in this forum on how to tackle similar issues ( you can check my history in sponsorship threads on how this shaped out in 2012-2014 )

When you call or ask your MP assistant to call, don't they provide upto date information since these notes have 30 days old info

Ofcourse, since these 2 are different processes {ATIP vs MP}

ATIP GCMS Notes for IRCC applications are especially valuable if the applicant happens to be in an ongoingly-prejudice-vulnerable minority group (e.g., LGBTQ&c.) and can see by the provided Notes that there's no justifiable reason for their application to be being held-up procedurally (i.e., other than an official's reluctance to proceed); in which case s/he can then immediately engage an immigration lawyer and submit the IRCC Form for allowing a 3rd party to act on their behalf, thus prompting a review of the file.

If I am not interested in detail but just what's the status at the moment. ATIP is 30 days vs MP is immediate
yeah then go for status inquiry via the MP office
