Hi all

Need to ask some thing about experience point

Last year i applied with 3+ and now my experience became 4+

how many points i will get 19 or 21

need your suggestion

points at the time of application...

19 only

OP06 manual says this:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGLIsh/resources/manuals/op/op06-eng.pdf

Page 29
Officers must: take into account any years of experience that occur between application and assessment, and for which the applicant has submitted the necessary documentation (R77).

But how can someone submit the necessary documentation for the interim period? I really don't think they'll take the pains to ask for it. So, it boils down to the fact that you must have 67 points with the experience points at the time of your application.

Maybe for people who applied after and according to the new rules.
However, for those who applied before then, If you are still working after you applied, of course, you will be able to prove that. Since, after application, they do not ask for the documents update immediately.(Documents update=start of assessment).
As such, the time b/w application and assessment will be considered as additional number of years to experience.
E.g in my case I have been working in the same occupation I applied in, ever since I submitted my application in 2007. So what will happen to my extra 2 Years Experience?

If you think you are short on points, you can always attempt to send them an update to your file and see if they add it on there but don't count on it. It's your duty to make sure you have enough points before you apply. If they started letting people add points after the fact, they would have a stack of incomplete applications where people are waiting for a couple of more years experience or education or better IELTS or whatever.

The above point is only with regards to work experience, not with IELTS etc. (NOTE: b/w application and assessment). And it is justified by CIC Manuals as well as on the web-sites of Immigration Lawyers and consultants.
However, This is only favorable to Applicants who at the time of application could not claim 21 points (full points for experience).

Once assessment has started u cannot add anything to it (Work Experience).

actually now they have ask to submit full document /forms pcc/bank statement etc
last date is july but iwill try to submit in june but after march my total experience become 4 plus but at the time of initial application (june 08) my expereince was 3 plus
now clearify hw many points i will get 19 or 21 points

I have overall 5+ year of experience. In 0213 NOC code have 2.8 year of experiecne. So how much point should i need to calculate.

is it 17 point (less than 3 year in NOC Code 0213) or it is 21 point for overall 5 year experience.

Senior Members any comments on above thread plz?????????????

if the remaining experience falls under skill Category 0, A or B (any NOC), then you can consider 4 years points, else stick to 2 years...

Yes, my remaining 3 year experience falls under skill Category B.

Thanks aanbaan :)
