How many points i will get from this ECA

Hi All,

My ECA is just completed and here is the status from online report. I am planning to file under NOC 2173.

Could you please let me know if the report is positive and how many points i will get ?

Any idea, in the second credential, it says Credential Authentication as None. I sent the credentials in a sealed cover from university.

Am i good to proceed with filing ?

WES/ECA

Are others having a nightmare experience with WES as well? They are one of the worst institutions I've ever had to deal with. Had I read the complaints online, I would not have used them. They should be avoided at all cost.

I think you will only get points for your bachelors, and not Masters.

Looks like WES made a mistake. It should not day "none"; it should say "Official transcripts were sent directly by the institution" just like for your bachelor's degree. I would take this up with them. What was the timeline of the processing of your ECA, when did you submit your application, when did they receive transcripts from your university, etc?

I submitted all the documents on 12th June and the assessment completed yesterday 6 Aug. I sent an email asking them to correct this one. I am sure the hard copy must have been already shipped to my address.

I am worried if there would be any issue in the process or it will be fine ?

Also, how much time they R gonna take to send the corrected one ?

I suspect you will be fine. It clearly states at the top CANADIAN EVALUATION SUMMARY - Master's Degree. So you will get your 23 points. But I would still follow up with the inept WES and make sure they correct it online since CIC checks with the WES system the details of the ECA. WES should also send you a correct version, so you have it in case you're called in for an interview later on. But I would go ahead and send the application once you receive the ECA. It's clearly an omission on WES's part. Good luck.

I just received my ECA today. To my surprise it did not list credential about my Masters ( M.Tech) in the the report. Only my bachelor degree is listed in the credential report but nothing about my masters degree.

The CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY is still shows as Masters.

I am about to send the files tomorrow but confused with this report. Online report still list the credential for Masters which as Authentication set to None.

Do we have an email address to contact WES about this issue ?

Even with 4 years equivalency to Canadian bachelor degree will get 21 points and will stay at 71.

Shall I still send the file tomorrow without waiting for the update from WES on this ?

But if you are already getting 71 points, then you should file your application without wasting a minute on thinking about this issue.

I second this! if you'll still pass the 67point score even if you only get bachelors equivalency, then you must submit your application asap!

Thanks for the inputs. I am getting the updated report from WES with correct data. It is due to be delivered by august 18th Monday. I will send my application on the same day.

Would that be fine ?
