The checklist states a maximum of 20 photos.
Should we abide by this, or submit more ?

**This is about the spousal sponsorship

I came here asking for help with a simple question. Do not reply if you do not know what it means

Since the checklist says 20 maximum... It's maximum. 20. No more than 20. Less than 20 is fine. But maximum 20. In what world could you see that meaning "submit more".

In what world you would be answering a simple questiom with a simple non sarchastic answer ?

How hard is that to reply in a decent repectful way ?

I think we're all just wondering why you felt like you needed clarification for that. The checklist is very clear and simple, maximum 20 photos. There isn't any reason to question or attempt to change what the checklist instructions are when it specifies what is needed.

I read here on this forum many times, that people do upload 100+ photos.

Maybe the checklist has changed. So I wanted to simply make sure

Those were probably old threads, old checklists, maybe ones with no cohabitation before marriage or a different type of sponsorship - possibly conjugal, or not, who knows. Regardless, as long as you have the updated checklist then that is what you should be doing rather than following what others have done in the past.
Maximum means maximum, there's no reason to wonder if you should submit more.

Just stick to the checklist, it's not tricky or complicated. Good luck.

ok. no problem

Don’t worry, Egyptian Traveller, I have a similar question. :)

We have the max number of photos (20). But some of our Facebook messenger messages between family and friends that we are using to show proof of genuine relationship have photos in there....now, we can’t snip the photos out of the message because the writing under the photos and above the photos show proof of acknowledgement of us moving to Canada...so...yeah, similar question...we are not trying to be sneaky and put in extra photos...but they are on there...on printed A4 paper...does everyone think this is okay?

so i'm checking the new checklist and now it says maximum of 10 pages for proof of contacts which is a combination of text messages emails or social media conversations. keyword is "or" am I being suckered here? i printed out like 100 pages of whatsapp text messages before. any helpful information?

@egyptiantraveller I think many people who are senior forum users have been very kindly giving up their time to help others - and this topic comes up fairly often so I understand why they refer back to the checklist.

I think I understand what you are asking - and that is what other people might have done, that worked. When my husband and I were preparing the documents, we asked our lawyer, and they gave us a more detailed checklist. As other users mentioned, the immigration officers are very busy so they are asking for less.

Here is what we did: we created a powerpoint slide and squeezed 40 photos onto 20 pages (back and front) and colour printed them. We also included a text box with all the names, places, and people in the photo.

Hope this helps!
