I sent them an email on the 31st day and it showed up the next day. This was on august 3rd. I ordered notes again on Aug 6, i don't have them yet. the 31st day is Sept 5th or so.

I put down our tracking number and reference number on the email subject and also in the body of the email. I also included receipt number on the body of the email. Just mention that it's been more than 30 days and you want to know the status or something along those lines.
So if the BGC last more than a month then we should automatically assume that it’s a Security screening ?
Our BGC started in May and no update since then.. so we are dealing with SS now? Why would they select our file for that ? I mean what would determine if an applicant needs a SS or not ?
This is so depressing
sometimes they random check and mostly, they found something need to be verified. For me, I found a wanted person’s name is same as mine. And many people have same name with me.

How long did ur SS take ? How long does it normally take? It has been 16 months since we submitted our application!
Mine is from May 2, 2019 and it may take 6 to 36 months for security screening. 12 months processing time only work for those who not security screening
Oh wow, so how come so many people wait for months till background check is complete? What exactly to they check there? I understand pcc, it’s part of background. But what else?!

My security check started on 12th June 2019 ( according to MP-Member of Parliament).
My application was received by cic on 26th May 2017, refused on 03 Oct 2018 ( refusal reason was”visa officer did not consider our marriage genuine”)
Appealed against the Visa officer decision and it got approved on 16th April 2019. Updated forms, biometrics and medical etc were requested on 14th May 2019.
Contacted cic few times and according to them everything is fine with my application except that security check is in process and they cant tell how much time it will take.
