How long takes WES evaluation (World Education Services)

Hello,

I had applied on August 10th. The WES is taking so much time it is unbelievable.

Although, I have done my Masters and I thought maybe the more the documents the more time it takes, it is above a month now.

Is there something to worry here? The status says the evaluation in progress since over 3 weeks now.

Do they first upload the evaluation before sending it by post? and do they send an email to inform you it is uploaded?

Yes, they Email you that evaluation has been completed. And Go check your account at wes.org to view your eca report.

Hi,
You need to check what documents exactly you need to provide to WES in order to get your credentials evaluated. What you need to do is go to the page that you can find by searching "WES Canada required documents". There you will search the country in which you got each credential and you will see a specific list telling you what documents need to be sent by you to WES and what documents have to be sent by the institute where you studied.
You need to be very careful and make sure you are sending all necessary documents in the right way.
In case you have questions regarding that, you always can call WES and ask them, they usually answer questions regarding required documents on phone too.

I finally received my WES evaluation. WES received my documents I think on August 26 and I got online results on September 29.

I think it depends if you need course-by-course evaluation (which I guess is for education purposes in Canada) or document-by-document evaluation (which is for immigration to Canada).
I did the second one and payed $254.25 ($229.25 for evaluation+tax and $25.00 for overnight post (I think there is a cheaper post option that you can choose too)).

You pay a single fee for as many as credentials that yiu want to get evaluated (Bachelor, Master, PhD, whatever), given that you do them at the same time. I think, for example, if you apply for evaluation of your Bachelor degree and pay the fee and later you want to add Master degree for evaluation then you have to pay again (I am only about 90% sure about this). So do all your degrees at the same time to ensure that you pay the fee only once.

I applied on 31/08/2016. It changed from document received to documents under review and 8 days ago it shows evaluation in progress. I wonder how long it takes for them to finalize the WES report.

Hi All,
I have a question in relation to WES - one of my friends is also planning to apply for CIC express entry. He is in also in the US. Yesterday he sent the required documents (transcripts and copies of degree certificates) for evaluation to WES via FedEx. When I did my credential evaluation with WES, I remember there was a requirement that we ha to send it by post only, NO COURIER allowed.

Is that still the case? Does anyone know if WES will accept the documents even if they are sent via FedEx and not regular post?

Appreciate your help and inputs on this.

Isn't it the requirement of WES to receive the transcripts and degrees directly from the issuing institution? can I send my documents directly through to WES via Courier? In my case my qualifications are from Pakistan.

i dont think it is a problem to send by Courier. When i had requested my university to send directly to WES, i paid the cost of DHL when ordering my transcripts from UK. Plus it gives you the option to track the package online.

They recently informed him that they have sent it by regular post! Is it ok to send docouments by REGULAR POST too?

Usually, from what I remember (my information is as old as 2014), they ask for regular post only that too from the post office nearest to the university. I believe your friend should be okay.

So finally I received my WES online report today and it is taking more than 20 business days like others above have reported ;D

Status changed to "Review in Progress": 4th September 2016
Status changed to "Evaluation in Progress": 7th September 2016
Evaluation Completed Online: 3rd October 2016 (Note: 20 Business Days were completed on 27th September 2016)
