Hi,

My Mom just got a two year visit visa ( valid until december 2014 ) to come and visit us in Canada. She applied for a 6 month vistor visa but was issued a two year multiple one. I know that with the 6 month ones, you had to eneter the country in 6 months and was able to stay for a max of 6 month. Now, what is the situation with this 2 year one? Can she stay the whole two years? Or the max stay is 6 month altogether? how long does she have to enter he country?

This is unfamiliar with me, so please help
Cheers

She can stay for six months. If she wants to stay for longer than six months, she should apply for an extension once she is in Canada.

Every trip, unless the Immigration officer issues a shorter stay.
