how long does it usually take to finish security section?

I finally got a hold of cic agent today!

got to know my visa office is Edmonton,

Criminality has passed
Eligibility has passed,
and security is not started.

does anyone has any idea, on average how long will it take from not started to passed?

Security is in progress even if it says not started. CIC are waiting for results from outside agencies, and when they get the all clear your application will be approved. How long has the whole application been processing?

You probably have a couple of months of waiting left then. My application had eligibility and criminality met in January, but I only got my PPR email in April.
