I emailed on the 15th to check on something in my application.
I haven't heard back from Buffalo yet.

Thanks!

Wow, that's insane!

I've written them more than once, and have always gotten an answer within 48 hours - over a month ago though.

I think it depends what you ask about.. I've asked about TRV and received a response withing 24hours. But if I asked about PR, it took them about 10 working days (of course that depends on which embassy you communicate with).

I've always asked for comfirmation from them.. and usually got it within 1 working day

i sent a case specific enquiry to Buffalo on October 15 and got a reply this Monday, October 18

I have asked about the same thing, in the past and heard within 48 hours.

Oddly, I got something in the mail from them yesterday, dated the 15th. Sent the 18th.
But, I had to re-email them because I was asking about my FBI certificate having made it to the file (it was received by them per USPS 9/23) and they were asking for it, dtd 10/15. :( But, this paper did confirm they have my medicals (my other question).

So I'm assuming, this was their reply to my email - the letter. Though I emailed them at 4pm on a Friday - 5pm their time. So not sure how they processed me that late, very odd!
