How long do you have to send your passport once PR is approved?

Hi,

I completed my medical exams in mid-August, and still haven't heard back from Immigration. My friend received a notification that her PR was approved a month after sending out her medical exams.

Once I receive this notification, how long do I have to send them my passport?

I am worried because I have booked a trip to Brazil at the end of December and have been postponing getting my TRV renewed, as I was expecting to get the PR notification soon and wanted to make sure I had my passport with me.

Now even if I get my TRV renewed in time for my trip, I'm worried that I might get the notification while in Brazil and won't be given enough time to send out my passport.

Can anybody tell me what's the time limit to send out my passport after PR approval?

What does it say on your CIC account as your current status ? does it say "Medicals Received"?

After Medicals Received, the next status should be "Decisions Made"

It still says Medicals Received.

How long do they give you to send out your passport once a decision has been made? I'm worried I might have to cancel my trip in December.

I'm from a visa-exempted country so I didn't need to send out my passport.

I'd say a month after my medicals were received, I got my COPR letter through the mail and was given a year to land.
