Hi all,
We landed in May 2019 and have our PR cards. We had to return to the UK to sell our house, liquidate investments etc in preparation for the move. Our initial plan was to move in May 2020, but due to Brexit we are struggling to sell our house (and investment properties). I was wondering if we should stay in the UK for a couple of years for things to stabilize so we could sell our properties. Is this a good idea?
I understand our PR cards are valid for 5 years (until May 2024) and I need to be in Canada for 3 years to qualify for citizenship.
Q1. What happens if we move just before our PR cards expire (say 2023 or 2024)?
Q2. Can we renew our PR cards? Until when can I realistically delay moving there without losing our PR status?
Any relevant advice on this is greatly appreciated !
