Hello !

I have a question and will be very grateful, if you all can help me ! I have received my visa on November 01, 2012 and should leave my country (Armenia) till 10 September, 2013. My boyfriend has successfully finished his family reunion case for USA. He will move to USA a month later than me. My question is the following - upon arrival to Canada, is there any specific time period i am obliged to stay in Toronto, or I can move to USA freely. We intend to get married in USA and I was wondering if there are some laws and regulations regarding this.

Thank you all in advance for your help !

You can visit USA on the next day itself. There is no restriction for visiting USA from Canada if you hold valid travel documents for both countries.

Thank you for your reply ! I will have my Armenian passport with me, and that is why I am not sure if it's enough :( I think according to the letter I have received i will get my Permanent resident's card in the airport, because there i will have a meeting with immigration service employees.. I wander if I can travel without the PR card

I was under the impression that you have a US visitor visa already. If not, you need a visitor visa to enter USA. If you plan to visit USA at the earliest, you should apply for a visa from the country where you are residing now. Immediately after landing in Canada you will not be granted a visitor visa from US consulate unless you prove your very strong ties with Canada. I think it is not easy.

Ooh..thank you.. That's going to be really difficult. So I need to apply from Armenia and for that I should contact the US Embassy, right ? Any specific department dealing with that, or just consular section ?

Hi Aithnielle, You should contact U S Embassy, Yerevan-Armenia for visitor visa.

Here is their website to get appointment:
