Thanks in advance
Just to clarify in case it's not clear to the OP, I believe that this waiting time refers to how long it takes to process 80% of applications, which is why dungle87 says that it's usually much faster than this time.dungle87 said:Spouse or common-law partner living outside Canada. United Kingdom : 14 month(s), includes assessment of sponsor: 53 days
But usually only takes half the time for applications.
CB1995 said:Will I need all of that proof and documentation with me just to get married? I will be going home to England and applying from there. At what point in the process will I need proof of relationship if not for the marriage itself? Which documents do I need for just the marriage itself? I know I'll need my birth certificate but that's all
Sorry, my understanding from other threads was that you'd be applying outland but from within Canada, so I meant that you'd need to have those documents with you. Apparently, in trying to help I've made things much more confusing!CB1995 said:So I don't need the police check to be able to get married? I know is need it for the application but in terms of marriage, I won't need it?
CDNPR2014 said:the proof of relationship is a part of the spousal PR application, so it needs to be in the package you send in to apply for your spouse's pr. there are many things that can be used for "proof of relationship": pictures, online communication between you two, letters from friends/family, etc.
