Once I submit application for TRV for visit, do I go ahead and directly get the Biometrics done at VFS office or I will receive a request for Biometrics to be submitted at VFS office? I am a bit confused y reading people's responses in this thread.
How long after receiving the correspondence letter for biometrics, do you receive an answer?

Timeline (Paper application via VFS Global - Wafi Mall, Dubai):
Application submitted: 18th Aug at 11:00 AM (43 days Dubai processing)
Biometrics: 18th Aug at 01:44 PM
Canada Embassy received: 19th Aug at 08:47 AM
Correspondence Letter: 18th Sept at 01:44 PM
Canada Visa Office, Abu Dhabi emailed: 23rd Sept at 12:02 PM
VFS passport received sent via sms: 23rd Sept at 04:42 PM
Aramex Courier delivery: 08:30 AM
After 36 days of waiting for our Temporary Residence Visa application, I got stamped for 10 years multiple visa. DIY only (Do It Yourself) and first timer applicant #PraiseGodAlmighty

can you plz share your list of all documents which u submitted along with if possible let everyone knows that your family ties in UAE & Canada, travel history and finical status (how much available balance you showed) coz most of the people are getting refusals on these points. so this would be very much helpful for us. thnks
Just sharing my experience, here are the
IMPORTANT requirements: (not particularly in order)
1. (TRV) Application “Form IMM5257”
2. Family information “Form IMM5645”
3. Proof of means of financial support (last 4 months bank statements or pay slips or employment letter)
4. Copy of your passport (first, last pages along with pages that have stamps/visas)
5. Purpose of travel (round trip flight ticket - itinerary only, hotel booking and travel insurance - quote only)
6. Travel history (all pages with visas/stamps from your old and new passport in the last 10 years)
7. Digital photo taken with 6 months
8. Covering letter (explaining your purpose of travel to Canada)
9. Proof of ties to your home country (any supporting documents) advantage if you have property under your name. Try to include your government payment history (for Filipino SSS, pag ibig at Phil health) .
10. Invitation letter from Canada - notarized (from relatives or closed friends with attached pictures together)
11. Travel tours inquiry or reservations
12. Proof of residence address (Tenancy contract, utility bills or car registration)
13. Company letter to Canada Embassy (stated your salary, date of joining and date of your travel)
14. Vacation Leave Form from your company. (try to shorter your days instead of one month)
15. Marriage Certificate if married (if not fill out the Common-Law partner form
16. Day by Day Itineraries in Canada

Unfortunately It was rejected and reason was like they are not sure I'll be back
