wow nice, did you pass the interview?or any news about it?
His interview was Jan. 19th/12. Because he had to fill out another form and put the wrong month on one question (compared to the original application) another interview was scheduled for Feb. 7th/12. It was informal just making sure things matched etc. Since then...not a word :'(

There was just over one year between our first in-person meeting and our wedding. But I had known my husband for a couple of years before meeting in person.

We had three in-person meetings before marrying (one of two weeks duration, and two of one week duration each). The fourth meeting was for four weeks and we married in the fourth week.

It's true what somebody said earlier. When you know, you know.

I am nervous about the amount of evidence I put in the application. We communicate daily by Skype but it's impossible to produce our entire Skype transcript history, this would run to thousands of sheets of paper, so in the face of that impossibility for some reason I just went completely the other way and produced the barest minimum I thought I could get away with. So very short samples, one per month for the duration of our relationship and as far as possible just trying to pick samples that show us talking in a manner that suggests we do actually communicate very regularly. But I worry that's not enough, of course. Stress.

I enclosed plenty of photographic evidence of the intermingling of our families at least.

Hi,well about skype (me and my spouse we not write anything we do calls) so there will be nothing for them to read. I personally copied the whole history of skype(the calling time) since the beginning. When i putted on wordpad i removed the missing calls...And also am gonna give my password to my husband in case they wanted to check skype.the sad thing is that when i applied i put the pictures in a memory card(i didnt know that they do not check electronic device(no wonder why we are in the interview list) After marriage when i came back i used to call him with callings cards(spent over 2000$) but thats not a prove to them of communication. So then i found a phone company that offers long distance calling for my country unlimited so i have that as a proof. So where are you on your process? I do not care how much is gonna cost me to print all this history of calls or skype because, all i want is to save from the worst that i can think of..so bring everysingle pages XD

I married my husband about 14 months after we met, and a year after we started dating. We'd only spent about 30 days together all told by that point, but we Skype every day. I'm currently a student, so visits are limited to my breaks.

I have to agree that when you know, you know. I got married when I was about 22, after being engaged for 2 years. That relationship was a disaster, and if I'd known then what my relationship with DH would feel like, I never would have done it. Well, maybe if I also knew that I had to endure the disastrous first marriage in order to be ready for the awesome second marriage, then it would be worth it.

I feel lucky that I have a "role model" that I can point to, as well. My parents met in December, Dad proposed in June, and they were married the following November; that was close to 40 years ago and they're still going strong. :)

I met him the 7th of the month and got married the 23 of the same month 2010.I stayed 2months after marriage and i went to visit him a year later and going back again in 2months.
We have over 100wedding pictures, picture of our trips(holding each other, kissg), hundreds of pages of skype and phone history, proofs on my passport that i went to visit him.. I wonder if that is enough(my parents and siblings attended the wedding beside one of my brother). I am suffering from depression and angry very easily with all this tension on waiting. I am loosing my personality, i cant believe its on officer hand to predict our future. For all those who use marriage of convenience they deserve hell. We are suffering because of them. I wish you all the best !
I was refused the PR...reason was marriage is not genuine....what is lies and truth to the immigration????They dont have the right to judge people feelings just because of they color of skin or what nationalities they're from.....so depressing.

I'm pretty early in my process, only submitted a little over a week ago.

I'm not too concerned with cost. But I did feel like I had to draw the line sensibly somewhere between what is enough and what is way too much, but of course now I feel nervous that my version of "enough" is different from the version the VO has! I had tons of other evidence in there but I'm worried my Skype evidence was lacking, since we're in daily contact with each other through Skype but the evidence I submitted does fall drastically short of showing that.

I've just got to wait it out and see what happens. I'm not too worried about being called to interview because I know it's pretty unlikely that I'll end up being refused at the end of it all. If I get called to interview they can have the entire flippin transcript if they like! I'm just worried about the timescale since I booked flights already and I kind of have my heart set on moving at that date. We'll see.

We met in june 2009, got married in sept. 2010. Submitted application nov. 2010. Transferred file to edmonton oct. 2011 without aip. Ordered foss notes. Remarks said short courtship, is relationsip genuine? Then we wrote a letter to io and askd How short is short, how long is a long courtship. ? Do u have a timeframe for courtship? We even want to put there who do u think u are? Are u God? But ofcourse out of respect we didn't. But really, who are they to judge?

Io also put on the remarks about our age gap which is 32 years. Like seriously? So what? Age is just a number. I love my husband so much and no one and nothing can stop me from doing so even the immigration!

I'm als happy that they made the 5 year sponsrship ban. Screw those people in bogus marriages! And i agree they should go to hell!

Hi CharmaineFrances I received your message but I am not able to reply to it privately for whatever reason, so this is the only way I can reply to your question:
"Hello! Just wanna know if u heard any news from edmonton office? Im also waiting. Have you ordered foss notes? Thanks."
Yes we just ordered the Foss Notes so it will be another month at least to receive them, our file is very similar to yours infact, it was flagged for short courtship, age difference, culture & religion differences, And I am also happy with the new 5 year ban, I guess we just have to wait and see what happens I am pretty positive though and feel that we are in a genuine relationship so it shouldn't be a problem, if they interview us they will see that. So ya keep your head up and try not to get to stressed out about it.
