How long after Interview???????

Hi Everyone....I had my interview in Dec 2009 in Berlin.The interview went on well and the Visa officer informed me that I would be receiving medicals after a security check.I would like to know the how long will the security check takes place and also what exactly means a security check.It's already 2 months since I had my interview..should I mail them or should I wait for some more time...Suggestions are appreciated..Thanks in advance.I applied under SAP in Nov 2006

Hi,
I gave a security interview in Buffalo in August 2008. Since then they have been conducting background check on me and my wife. Last week they sent us an email requesting for new medicals. In my case it took so long, but that may not be the case for you.
