Hello everyone. I have a question to ask. I acquired Canadian PR back in August 2016 but since then I've been living in the US and also have gotten married. I need to move to Canadian by August this year if I want to complete the 2 year residency requirement by August 2021. Problem is my wife doesn't have PR and so I'm thinking of renouncing my PR altogether and then re-applying for it as a family.
My current CRS score is 442 with my wife, and I see that the lottery threshold has been around this mark for the past 1-2 years. So is it safe to say that I can get PR again if I renounce now ?
Note that I know all about inland and outland sponsorships for my wife, but I'm not happy with them. Inland sponsorship requires her to continuously stay in Canada, while outland requires us to live separately for at least a year. Neither seems practical to me.
Please advice.
