amazing!!!!! thanks for ur patience on posting all this :D i'm happy to see that other people organized it similar with us; but it was soo much work; the only thing i didn't put yet was those red tabs, cuz many say they will remove any tab anyway; my big dilemma now was in what kind of box / envelope we can put all these papers; ur expanding envelope is really cool, hope we can find it here
another thing different is that we included more originals - phone statements, cards, receipts, courier deliveries at home on either name, etc; i don't like this but that's how they ask in our region checklist, so we have a small envelope with each of these groups included in the bigger relationship envelope
also, we r still sending the old forms - hope it won't cause an issue but i'm just tired of working on this; i just want to finally start!!!!!!
good luck!! let's keep in touch, maybe we'll both join the January thread ;) with what courier r u planning to send it and if u didn't already, take a picture with the box ;)

hi there! thank you!!! yeah the tabs were just extras i included, coz i learned it from other forumers too :) lucky for us our region specific instructions didnt actually require original proofs, coz i ddnt want the app to be too bulky and i dont wanna lose the orig stuff :) i heard that in the courier u can choose boxes that fit ur app size, im not sure yet which courier, ill be sending it when i arrive in canada on the 4th week of January. and yes, im gonna be taking a picture when i bid it bye bye for sure :) good luck to us! see u in the january 2012 thread :)

ooooh i really hope that i'll see u in that thread too; we r saying we'll send it since 6 months but there were always delays :( woooow u'll b sending it from Canada, u'll save a loooooot; we r both outside and we'll b sending it from here, but the cost doesn't matter really; the important is to arrive safe and fast and with some good luck too ;)
have a safe trip back!!

I've been told the photos can't be printed on paper anymore, which is what I planned to do. Is this true? I hope they don't have to be all developed normally at a photo shop as that will be so much more disorganized and not to mention expensive.

I didn't notice anything in the guides explaining this but maybe someone can help me out? Thanks.

EDIT: Ok they only thing I see is in the Immigrant Country Specific Guide for the Caribbean is that they have to be loose, can't be bound, or on a disc or anything like that.

I take loose to mean not bound together in a book or those plastic photo pages or an album. Others take loose to mean they have to be actual photo shop printed photos all completely individual and separate, which I think would be extremely messy and disorganized and cause a lot more work for the VO than is necessary.

Hi! yes, loose means u can't send in photo albums. If they are printed on papers and those papers aren't bound, then they can still be considered loose. Yes, loose may also mean printed on photo paper and cut like normal photos, and I agree with you that I also think it would be messy and bulky, and personally that would be hard to organize especially if u have many photos, and by the way i did it (show it by order of events or by year, so that the VO can also see the timeline of our rel'p), it would be hard to do that with photos on photo paper.

I have also asked around and read up around the forum before I started doing our photo proofs, and many have given feedback that they have printed on paper too with several photos on one sheet then provided captions, and they have encountered no problem with that. =)

Ok thanks Pelipeli. That puts me more at ease. In a group I'm part of for people going through the PR process from the same country everyone keeps saying that loose means individual photos and that I have to send originals and that I should just print the photos on photo paper and send all the originals in a little envelope to keep them together just to be safe... but I like your way much better!

Did you just print the photo/paper from your normal computer printer and ink?

yup! i have all our soft copy photos laid out using microsoft publisher, example i put a heading like Christmas 2011 then a simple narrative telling that hubby spent christmas with me and my family and relatives in my hometown then 3-4 photos then a caption below each for when, where, who, event, who took the photo. then printed those on normal a4 bond paper using hpf2480 colored printer :)

Great. Thank you so much! I've already bookmarked this thread, and your info just keeps getting better and better :)

When you had extra information for a question and had to continue it on a separate sheet of paper did you put that extra sheet directly behind that form? Or did u have all the extra sheets after all of the completed required forms?

Thanks!

hi, extra sheets attached directly behind the particular form then paperclipped with it. dont forget to have a header/ footer with name, date of birth, form name and question number u are answering :)

Hi Pelipeli,

I also organised my documents in a similar fashion like yours. Fantastic job in sharing this information to everyone about this. It sort of reaffirms my thoughts how the documents should be organised, and feel more confident after reading your post. You are a good man !!!

My application will be received at CPC on Monday Jan 9, 2012. I am Canadian citizen married to a Filipina. So waiting starts now . Wish everyone the best.

Cheers !!!!!!!
