Hi everyone, I could really use some advice because my application deadline is getting closer and I’m starting to overthink everything.

I received my ITA through a CEC draw about a month ago, and since then I’ve been gathering all my supporting documents and researching nonstop. I’ve gone through Reddit threads, YouTube videos, CanadaVisa, ChatGPT, Gemini, and pretty much every source I could find. Even so, I’m still paranoid that I’m going to miss something or make a mistake because I can’t tell whether my case is actually straightforward or a bit more complicated than average.

For context, I’m single, in my early 30s, and I’ve never had a visa refusal.

Here’s my situation:

I have one year of Canadian work experience, and I already have my reference letter. I also matched my duties to the NOC code and cross-checked that through multiple AIs(ChatGPT, Gemini, nocfinder)

On the foreign work side, I have about 1.8 years of full-time experience with a company in my home country. After that, I continued working for the same company for an equivalent of 1.2 years full time, but during that period my contract changed to contractor/part-time remote at 22.5 hours per week because I had moved to Canada for studies. On top of that, Im also including another year of foreign work experience with a different company back home, also under a contractor-type agreement. In my country, those called “provision of services” contracts are very common.

The only extra document I needed beyond the usual was a police certificate from the U.S. because I lived there for 6 months, and I already have that as well.

Am I overthinking too much or should I really hire a consultant to review my application? Appreciate any feedback!

It's feasible and your case is quite straightforward, but your reliance on ChatGPT can cost you a lot, better use IRCC website for instructions.
Thank you! Im super paranoic with all the rejection stories :s
Oh and Im only using ChatGPT and Gemini to help me select the NOC codes and refine the reference letters redaction, that should be fine right?

That's exactly what I'm saying ChatGPT cannot do that right. And NOC and reference are one of the most crucial parts, but it's your call.

May I ask for any sugestion on how to select the right NOC code, please?

The way I used AI to help me with the NOC selection was to give me the three best matches according to my duties (Did the same excersice with Gemini) and then I compared the lead statement and duties from the NOC code with mine.
For the reference letter I drafted them myself including my actual duties and jthen I ust asked ChatGPT to refine the redaction

I think IRCC suggests 70-80% overlap with what IRCC has listed as responsibilities.

Overall, doing your own PR application is pretty straightforward. A lot of people here have done it by themselves.
