How easy is it to get study permit

Hello all,

My wife got admission to a college in Ontario for Spring 2016 term. I wanted advise on how easy it may be for her to get study permit. I have read different things on the forum, so please let me share details and you can advise.

1. She has a Bachelor's in Literature and has been admitted to study Hospitality and Tourism management (Post Graduate Certificate)

2. Her travel history is never traveled out of country of residence/citizenship (though we are visiting dubai soon)

3. We have a joint account with approximately CAD30,000 equivalent (school fees is CAD 14000 though we can pay half)


I want advise on what her chances are and what we can do to make a strong application.

1. This sounds like a study mis-match. If she wants to have a high chance of acceptance, she should take a course in Canada that makes sense in light of her prevoius education and work experience. Does she work in the hospitality and tourism industry? If not, I would chose a different course that makes more sense.
