Hi,

One of my relatives is interested in immigrating to Canada I have explored the options but I still cant figure out how PNP works? How can one have a job offer when almost all the companies say you have to be PR in Canada?

Any help would be grateful

Thanks

To be able to migrate to Canada as a provincial nominee, one must be nominated by a particular province to become a permanent resident. Once given a certificate of nomination, the federal government usually gives expedited processing of the application for PR visa. A job offer is not a strict requirement of PNP's but if you have one then it makes you more eligible. PNP's of different provinces vary in their eligibility criteria, but more or less, they focus on an applicant's ability to contribute to the economy of the province, their education and work experience, and strong connections to the province. As a provincial nominee, a person is obliged to live, work and settle in the province that nominated him. He simply cannot just move to another province. Otherwise the person who sponsored him may not be eligible to sponsor other applicants in the future. Again, job offer is not a must but t is a plus factor if you have one. I hope this helps!

Thanks Carl,

that definitely helped me I am actually interested in Saskatchewan province and my relative is like 56 years old and has been working as plumber for over 30 years now but could you please tell me how can I send an application for the province to represent me or how is it possible to know if they will be sponsoring? because I do know plumbers are in the short occupation list.

Thanks

and further on the Saskatchwan PNP website it says you have to have a job offer if you are applying from outside the Canada. so thats the reason why I was confused about it!

how i can get job offer?please help me

hi all
Even i have the same query. Almost all province PNP pgm says the candidate should have a job offer. How is this possible when 99% of the companies wont wait for the job offer to be made and then wait for the candidate to go thru all the formalities. I'm intesrested in Ontario pnp since my job code is eligible. Can anyone please advice how do i initiate this process ? Many are saying its mch faster but i cant even make out the first step itself. how to get the Province nomination first. Is there any forms that can be send to the Ontario province first for intiating the provincial nomination certification? Please advice, I dont have a job offer

56 years old??? That seems impossible for you to get PNP Certificate!
