Hey everyone,
I recently applied for a study permit extension in Canada. I might be leaving the country soon, and I’m wondering — does IRCC mail the new study permit directly to my address once it’s approved, or do I (or someone) have to pick it up in person?

If it’s mailed, does it come as regular mail that just ends up in the mailbox, or does it require a signature/pickup?

Thanks!

Do you have a TRV to re-enter? When did you apply for extension? Are you missing a semester if leaving soon? If you leave and return and extension hasn't been approved then you enter as a visitor and cannot study until study permit is approved.

Mailed to address. May come by courier with strike. Cannot pick it up.

My Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) expires along with my Study Permit. Once my Study Permit extension is approved, I plan to apply for a new Study Visa from my home country.

When did you apply for an extension? How are you studying if you leave the country? What country because TRV processing can be months? Leaving without a valid TRV is dangerous as TRV could be refused depending on length of extension.
