Hi guys I’m 19F, I am living in Ireland but want to do a working holiday in Canada.

Are you matched with an employer when you get there? Is there accommodation? How does it work

I have over 6000 Canadian dollars saved (€4000) and wondering if that is enough to get started ?

I’m so listless here and really crave a new experience and Canada, Calgary specifically, is just calling me.

Any info would be great!

You come on an open work permit and find your own job and place to live. So if it is Calgary, you land in Calgary and start looking for work. Savings will only keep you going so long if you don't find a job.

Suggest you look at the various fora and reddits and things like that, as well as job boards. There's an enormous number of young people from abroad land up in Banff or other places like that during the high seasons and work all the seasonal jobs. I'm sure there are in Calgary as well.

I'm not saying any of them pay particularly well (unless some special skill) and the cost of living can be high, but I don't think it's slave wages and they seem to have fun.
