Hello All,
Can you guys please let know, what will be the process of extending invitation from companies.
If after an invitation it takes 6 months to get a PR, will the companies wait THAT long ???

Any pointer appreciated.

Regards.

They should, because of the unique skill which you have. In fact, that's the whole purpose why employer has offered you an job offer.

This is the one of main reason that this new system seems more illogical than all logic is quoted about it.

If an employer is willing to help you with your PR application, you must have a set of skills they really want. But still, 6 months is a very long time on job markets, even though it's short in terms of CIC processing time. Let's face it, nobody has a truly unique skill that cannot be replaced, so it all comes down to how committed the employer is on you.

But if you get PR after 6 months and they ditch you, you can find any other job you want, right? 8)

First of all, if they can't or are not willing to wait for you for another 6 months, then surely they can find people already in Canada for the job. The only reason employers can offer you a qualifying job offer is IF they can't find Canadian citizens or PRs for the job. If it is so then there is no reason to worry about 6 months (as you would be quite special for the employer).

Second, if the company really wants you there sooner, then there is always the option of applying for temporary work permit and getting started while the PR application is in process.

That makes complete sense. Since a job offers implies a positive LMIA, the employer could apply for a work permit while your PR is being processed. Plus, many people are already in Canada under post-graduation work permits and IEC visa.
It's also better for the applicant since he/she'll never go through the hardships many people in the FSWP had to go through to find a job one they finally land.

Thanks, so that means , once an invitation comes, companies can process a temp work permit via which one can work , untill the PR is approved.
