Hello everyone,

I am in NOC 1123 (marketing advertising), I have my employer reference letter, however I am confused about how CIC will make sure if it matches the NOC. The duties listed are more on advertising side, but overall I can majority of those in my employer reference letter. but I am marketing specialist, CIC officer likely not. How can I make sure they get it?

My husband's case is even more complicated. He is engineer.

Any advice?

Just try and simplify things/duties for them or copy some of those Key duties from CIC's NOC description and ask your employer to include them as is .

As is? I recall seeing some posts where members claimed that they got declined due to copying NOC description.

Yes don't copy and paste the exact words. Rephrase them to make it sound like you have not copied.
