1. Choose a field ( IT, Medicine, Nursing, Mechanical, Management etc.) related to your prior education.
2. Decide whether to go to a University or a College.
3. Select colleges/Universities which offer courses in your chosen field.
4. Shortlist courses in which your are eligible to apply. Make a list of them.
5. Do some research about those courses, and see if you are really interested in those.
6. Prepare for and take IELTS.
7. Apply to the selected course/s by going to their college website.
8. Send your marksheets, IELTS and other documents which the institution needs.
9. Wait for admission confirmation.

After that...

10. Take education loan depending on your financial situation.
11. Pay an installment of the College Fees.
12. Visit the Canadian Visa Website and check which documents you need to send to the Visa office.
13. Prepare your Passport and other docs carefully, and send them.
14. Wait.. Wait.. Wait..
15. Hopefully you'll get your Passport back with the Canada Visa on it.
16. Book a flight, and Go Canada!

PS: These steps are correct to my knowledge, any senior member want to add/edit/delete any step, they are welcome to do so.

Here is a list which I have prepared. This might help you too:

1) First you will choose the program and learn about it's requirements, deadlines.
2) Then you will file an initial application with photocopied and attested documents (from your university/college) of your up-to-date documents and an application fee.
3) In case university grants you unofficial admission, you will be required to submit official documents including transcripts, reference letters, etc.
4) After submitting these documents to the university, you will be getting official acceptance letter.
5) You will be submitting this official letter of acceptance along with your passport to CHC (Canadian High Commission)
6) CHC will conduct medical and interview.
7) You will get visa.
