Hi all,

After a long wait, I finally got citizenship test invitation.

I thought I would get at least a month to take test, but CIC set up test day with short notice.

I will be taking test next Thursday, and now I'm worried about how to prepare this test.

After search on this forum, I found http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/ this website, but not sure if this website would be enough to pass test.

I don't have discover canada booklet but can download from CIC website.

However instead of reading whole booklet, can I just preprare with sample test in above website?

What would you recomment me to do? I work full time with overtime so don't have much time to prepare..

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Congrats for been invited for the Citizenship test. Its quite simple, download the "Discover Canada" from the CIC's website, carefully read it about 4 to 5 times, you are guaranteed to pass. Though they are lot of online practice test applications, dont get confused.

Here is one of them. http://www.apnatoronto.com/canadian-citizenship-test-practice/

Its quite helpful, makes you confident. If you score 100% few times, its good indication you are prepared. Wish you all the best.

you have waited so long for the test and finally got an invite.
no quiz available online will give you enough data to successfully complete the test and the reason for that is obvious.
The one and only way to score 100% is reading the booklet cover to cover and especially the image legends and info boxes.
it takes about 2 days to finish if you give it a serious try (time is approx for somebody who has no idea about Canada's history).
exam itself is mostly about straight facts and in part about the application of knowledge you obtained by reading the book.
by all means do as many online quiz's as possible but do not depend on them entirely.
do not ignore the dates though.

Hi,

Here are some sample test links which you can use for practice. But you still have to read the book atleast 2-3 times. Even read the text on the side of the pages where there will be some pictures. The sample tests just sets the tone for the tests and you will get similar questions on the actual test but not same questions. So you have to invest some time in reading 'Discovery Canada'. If you have a partner appearing for the test also, then it is best to discuss the dates/events/questions with them. This will help you to remember easily.
