Pre-Assessed..
Hi all,

I am an American living in California. I requested my college transcript. My college sent them to me in a sealed envelop.
Should I just open the envelop and go down to UPS to get them notarized, or let the lady at UPS store open the envelope?

Also, another major problem I am facing is with my diploma.

My diploma is currently in a storage unit in Maine. My diploma is framed and in a box. I do not have any friends or family in Maine right now. My parents are in Florida until June.

I spoke with my University. They can either send me a new diploma which can take several months, or email me a copy quickly.

Can I have a copy of my University diploma notarized or do I need the original?

Any help or input is appreciated.

Diploma should be notarized and transcript should be original(no need to notarize it)

Hi..

That your doc is in a Sealed envelope means that it has not been tampered with. DO NOT OPEN the
envelope which contains the Transcript. If possible, arrange for a copy or two of the Transcript from the
authorities and keep them as buffer for later use.
This Sealed envelope has to be handed over to those authorities who have asked for it.
But Let them remain SEALED.

Transcripts need to be in a sealed envelope.
The one you have is a sealed transcript.
That does not need any notarization.

If you are applying to CIC-Buffalo, the copy of the diploma does NOT need to be notarized. It's OK if they send the copy by email. CIC will verify its authenticity.

DO NOT open the transcript envelope. Send it in the sealed envelope.
