Hey guys i want to decorate 5yr kid room and he won't give me any ideas on how I should do it.
Also how did you organize all of there toys?
When downsizing did you have your child help with getting rid of their toys?
Also he has a double size bed and I've been debating on getting him a twin size so he will have more room.
But if I get him a smaller bed now in a few years I'll have to just get him a bigger bed.
I'm stuck on this one....
Thanks for any tips!

It will be a personal decision based on what works best for you.

However, if you want to know what we did for our 4 year-old daughter:

We decided to decorate her room in a way that will not need to be changed much as she grows. We found a sturdy queen bedroom set in nice feminine colors. It does give her less floor space to play, but there is still enough for her to work with. Since she has 2 night stands, a 4-drawer chest and a 9-drawer dresser/mirror, we use all the bottom drawers for toys, and the top ones are for her clothes. As she grows, the arrangement can be changed as needed.

As for the getting rid of toys part-I keep an eye on what she plays with. If I see there is something that has not been played with in awhile, it "magically" disappears when she is not around, and goes into the donations bag. You will have to make that decision yourself what will work best.
