Hello Everyone

I am enrolled in a course of 1 year. I got married in January of this year. When I applied for my Student Visa I have mentioned that I am married but my wife will not accompany me as of now.

What is the procedure by which she can join me and when can she apply for it? What are the documents that are required for it?

Thanks

If she is visa exempt, she can come to visit you and apply for an open work permit from within Canada. If she needs a visa, she can apply for a visit visa and open work permit at the embassy where she lives.

It's not her absolute right to get it. Immigration will decide on it based on believing like with other temporary visas that she will leave again.

Hi Everyone
I have the same question. I have just landed to Canada and started my classes. Should I wait until few weeks or months to apply a visitor visa of my spouse or can I apply now? Is it possible to apply open work permit in Canada after her arrival or need to apply in home country? For your info, she requires visa to enter.
Many thanks..
Cheers!

You can apply for the work permit after she arrives.

Hi
Thanks for the reply. So is it ok to apply visa right now or need to wait for some week or month for her visitor visa.
Cheers!

There is no reason why you can't apply right now.

Hi
Thanks for the reply. Just want to ask, which form should I tell her to fill. The Temporary Resident Visa or Visitor Visa one?

Hi guys
I have another question regarding proof of funds for my spouse. Is it ok to provide visa officer with BANK CERTIFICATE or I have to show BANK STATEMENT? I will be sending BANK CERTIFICATE from Canada as well as from my home country in order her to apply visa there.
Any suggestion on this matter
Cheers!
