How can I check ECAS if I don't have an AOR yet?

Hello,

CIC received my wifes PR application on Nov 24th, 2015 according to the UPS signature e-mail but I have not yet received an AOR. How can I check my status on ECAS? I need the AOR letter in order to try and get coverage with MSP so that is my concern.

The sponsor can log in to ecas with their UCI number, but it's not going to even show up in the system until they've opened the package and given it the cursory glance over, to ensure that it's complete.

You have to wait until CIC assigns the number to you.

I see. Is there anything I can do at all? Can I call CIC and ask for information on my application? For a UCI #? What can I do besides waiting.

It took me 7 weeks to receive my AOR and a couple weeks later received my SA. You still have a few weeks of a wait yet. Don't fret, at least you know they have it. It's basically a waiting game and that's all you can do. Sorry!!

Thanks. And 7 weeks sounds good to me. It's not great but if I got an AOR even at the end of Jan that would be nice. Fingers crossed.
