I am April 2013 applicant under CEC. My ecas status shows “application received”. I recently got married and going to modify my application to add my spouse name. How this is will impact my application time lines or in any other way ?

If your application eligibility has not been assessed yet (status application received) then it will have minor impact, but in general, it may introduce some delays. In any case, it is not like you have a choice, so go ahead and add your spouse. Congratulations btw!

I disagree, the delay might be very very minimal as long as the application is yet to be processed, If the applicant adds additional documents to it, the officer is going to process everything at the same time. The delay might be very very minimal.

Congrats on your marriage and Good luck with your PR.

I added my spouse in sept . Got my MR and rprf on nov 4th. No delay in that .

However, no ppr yet. Can't complain about delay unless I don't get ppr until New year .
