Lease i need help,i will be landing by November but don't yet have a home. How can i get a house with one or two bed rooms in Vancouver , not costing too much. Thanks

I don't know vancouver at all but you could try craigslist. Hopefully more people will reply and tell you what to look out for. For example, i didnt know that in UK, you have to pay some sort of property tax as a tenant but in the US, you only pay the rent and the landlord pays the property tax.

In Vancouver, Landlords pays for the property tax. You can also check rental listings in www.rentbc.com. If you are interested in any listing, just phone/email the landlord. If the landlord approved you as tenant, they will ask you to sign a tenancy agreement and ask you the money for the first month rent advance payment and half month rent as security deposit. Then you can arrange to pick up the keys.

Downtown is generally more expensive than other areas such as Burnaby, Richmond and Surrey.

they are fully booked by now til October. But they do not accept those with kids.
