Just wanted to advise my application has been updated to In Progress as of June 25th!

Congrats tofuboi!!!! Hope all of the November applicants will get IP soon!!! I bet some applicants are IP already just the Ecas hasn't updated yet.

sigh, the whole process is just torturing! Long processing time, no timely update and implied processing standards, and riskiness of being rejected even if your relationship is genuine!

Ymserver,
FYI..My ECAS app changed the status from application Received to In Process. Can you take a look on the apps to see you have already changed the status too ? anyone know how long will it take to ask for passport request from HKVO after changing status to IN PROCESS ?

Thanks..Ian.

Congrats Ian! I just checked, it is still App Received. Hopefully it will change next week!

ymserver, you just a few days after my application. Therefore, our application should be almost the same time to change to IP.

Yeah I hope so too. Yours haven't changed yet right?

ymserver, not changed yet.....croxx my finger

Where in ECAS does it say medical results recieved? I don't see anything that says that. Just noticed some of the people in the spreadsheet say Yes/No, but I can't find the status anywhere.

I wonder how long does the in progress step take. I was looking at past results, assume they are accurate that the average is 1-30 days, while some odd ones take a few months.

Hoping it will be a short wait.

Seems like not every officer inputs the "med result received" at the same stage for each applicant.
Mine showed up on the page after clicking into "App received", below "your application is received on ........."

Mine with "medical received"

Sigh,

They emailed me for documents regarding my newborn again that I just sent a few weeks ago. Why are they asking for it again :(

:-[Anyone have any news? Mine is still App Rec. Should I order GCMS notes?

I also have only one line on ECAS - Application Received on 27th November, 2014.

AOR2 from Hong Kong was on March 9, 2015.

It's the same with me too guys. Still shows Application Received November 25, 2014 with no updates since AOR2. When I started seeing updates earlier, I got excited and ordered air tickets to pick her up September 16. Don't even know if that's a realistic goal anymore. >:( It's been so many months since we've all seen our spouses in person...so cruel :(

Mine still "application received" though I just a few days after IanC...Cross my finger...

I am a bit concerned as I have been trying to check my application status through the CIC website, but it always says something meaning 'cannot locate my case'.
I have received a letter from CIC by email on March 4th this year that my application is transferred to HK visa office. I am applying as spouse living outside of Canada (my husband is citizen and we got married for 10 years and both have been living together in HK).

I wonder if I am now at what stage? AOR1 or AOR2?

Since that March 4th CIC letter, I have not received any response.
What should I expect as next steps?
Should I contact HK Visa office to check? Is it normal that I cannot trace my application through the CIC website link to 'check my application processing status'?

any help appreciated!
