quick question, after submitting your passport request, how long does it normally take to get your passport and CORP documents back from the ircc?

I am wondering, it's very unclear, this travel ban of all foreign nationals, people sponsoring their spouse and dependent child who has been approved after March 18, is banned? so that means workers can come here, but a spouse can't, correct me if I am wrong but couldn't a spouse be a potential worker as well? are spouses and dependent children banned until they lift it?

It's impossible to know. anywhere from within a week to a month is what I've seen.

During normal times it can take 1-2 weeks after submitting your passport to the Beijing visa centre.
With all the CV issues going around anyone can guess how long it will take now?

Spouses are exempt. They can travel to Canada.

Thank you for the message, but that is for immediate family members who are NOT Canadian citizen or PR. I don't think it is applicable for people here. For most of us, the following procedure is followed:
Immediate family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents
To board your flight to Canada, you must

• have your health checked by airline officials to confirm that you don’t have symptoms of COVID‑19, including a fever, a cough and difficulty breathing
  • Anyone showing symptoms will not be allowed to board.
• tell the airline that you’re exempt from the travel restrictions
• show that you’re travelling to Canada for an essential reason and not for reasons that are optional or non-essential, such as tourism, recreation or entertainment
• present proof to show that you’re an immediate family member of a Canadian citizen or Canadian permanent resident
• make sure you have a valid travel document (visitor visa or eTA) and a valid passport to fly to Canada

It's impossible to know. anywhere from within a week to a month is what I've seen.

It took us more than 2 weeks (March 10 - March 26) to get visa stamped. I noticed that visa was issued from HK consulate not Beijing embassy.

In this group, some applicants still do not have the confirmation of PPR. Their permanent residency applications are still in process. And they also hope to visit and stay with their spouses in Canada. And some of them also have visitor visa before PPR application.
The information I shared in the previous post is for them. Lots of applicants' application have been delayed under the existing circumstance.
It's hard for the spouses apart from each other for a long time.
PS: The information of reunion immediate family member who is without PPR was updated in IRCC website on Apr 9.

No, that is not correct. Even for people who are applying for spouse sponsorship but don't get PPR yet, they are still regarded as direct family members of Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents.

The procedure you listed is for people who are Neither Canadian citizens NOR Permanent Residents but currently staying in Canada for different purpose (e.g., study, working etc.) and they want their direct family members to reunion with them at this time. So it is not applicable at all.

The immediate family member need to get the written authorization letter from IRCC to proof that they are qualifiable in traveling exemption group when landed front of the boarder. The written authorization document from IRCC is only required during this travel restriction period.

If you have doubt, you can write to IRCC's special COVID-19 email address to confirm whether your spouse needs to have that written authorization letter. Just for precaution.

Got my wife's passport back April 10. Can't leave tho because of the ticket prices and Taiwan and HK aren't letting non-citizens transfer.
