any news from Feb applicants?

Tried to link my application to mycic, but it said I have to eliminate my representative before I could be able to link the application to mycic....

any news from you guys?

CIC received my outland application on Aug 11 2016
I got an email today saying the sponsor is approved and the case has been transferred to HK for further process.
It only took 16 days for them to approve my sponsor eligibility, way faster than i expected.

Hey guys,

Just received an email from CIC saying I need to do an RCMP criminal check. Does anyone have experience obtaining one from HK? What is the process of obtaining one and how long does it usually take?

Thanks

I (inland) got an email from CIC, and they ask me to send a Hong Kong police certificate to them, but have absolutely no idea where to send it to
please help! thank you very much

Maybe this address?

Hi there, I'm sure you've already found this out but if not. HK POlice won't give you the certificate they send it direct to Canada so you don't need to know the address. thanks

Congrats!

Is your case extremely straight forward? Mind to share more?

I guess I should update that when I got home from work today my COPR was waiting for me so all done now.

It has been a very quick process for us, not sure what counts as extremely straight forward though.

Congrats on DM!
Extremely straight forward vaguely means you and your spouse are married for more than two years, both of similar age and religion, with no prior marriage nor sponsored anyone in the past, steady occupation, clean police record etc...
By the way is your medical expiring soon? when did you take them?

So fast!

Did you link your application to mycic. What's the status of background check?

Hi there, yes I guess we are straight forward, been married more than 2 years, have 2 children, and all the above. Plus my wife and children are Canadian citizens.

My medical expires in March 2017 so I need to 'land' before then

I tried to link it to mycic but I wasn't able to for some reason it never recognised my details. So I just left it and waited for the result.

Do you mean my criminal background check? I had to get two, one from Hong Kong one from the UK both clean

Bumping this to the top to help keep it alive.

Happy to answer any questions on my process for people in Hong Kong applying for Family Sponsorship

hello all
my wife from Guangzhou China finally got the COPR and the Canadian visa stamped on her Chinese passport, we will be flying to Edmonton at the end of Sept.
I was wondering if she need to get a exit-permit from the local Public Security Bureau in order to leave China? Or does she just need her Chinese passport, the COPR letter and the one way air ticket to Edmonton?

please help thanks

I think you'd be better off calling the Public Security Bureau for this question so they can give you the official answer. I'd do ASAP as well because I don't know how quick that process is if you do need an exit permit.
