AOR2 e-mail and cic "in process" are the same time.

When I click the "in process", it only show three lines. Nothing change even I received the COPR letter.
1. We received your application for pr on May
2.. Start process your application on aug
3..medical results received.

After the AOR2, I only do the Hong Kong police check. And keep waiting for four+ months.
I never order notes, cuz I know they were doing the March-may applications in nov/dec (through the forum).

But at least, we know they are finally back to work after Xmas & new year!

how did they mail you your COPR? through registered mail with tracking or regular mail?

btw, forgot to mention that my wife is in Canada now under visitor visa. multiple entry.. in this case, we must submit her passport to Ottawa, right?

I would like to know the answer to this as well!

Hello everyone, had a question, we are Oct 2015 applicants.

Just received an email that looks like a request for addition documents, but not sure. It reads:

"This message is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada as a member of the family class. Your file has now been transferred to the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong for further processing.

This letter is comprised of two parts: the first part is a request for documentation that requires your immediate action. The second part contains general information which you should carefully review."

Then it lists a bunch of stuff I'm pretty sure we included in the application, but I'm flinching hard. Should we be worried?

This is AOR2 and so called "perfection letter". Here is your opportunity to submit any missing documents or modify the forms which were already submitted. If the requested docs were already submitted and you do not wish to correct anything, you don't need to send.

You can send an email HKVO (https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx) and ask to submit your passport to Ottawa instead of HKVO. There were several cases before from various VO (including HK) that this was permitted. Make sure you request this ahead of time and don't miss the deadline for submission, it may take a while for them to reply.

Yes! Wife got passport request today! Hope this implies no interview. DM not showing yet. Good news for us and plenty of time before medical expires at end of April. :)

Oh I always thought COPR meant Certificate of Permanent Residence, with the PR card to come after a few weeks after landing. So it means Certificate of Passport Request?

Sorry, I meant PPR, just an early morning mistype :) But PPR does mean that interview is waved.
COPR is the Confirmation of PR.
