At the bottom, there is a part called " NOTES"

for example, on July 24th, officer 1 wrote on my file: first marriage, both educated in CDA, compatible in age and culture, evidence on file supported relationship development...blah blah...and the ASSESSMENT: recommend review;

Thus, on August 13th, officer 2 reviewed our file and wrote: based on all docs and info submitted, satisfied that PA and SPNR have a genuine FC1 relationship with each other...and the ASSESSMENT was updated to passed.
I read the notes section, they did not specify their concerns about our relationship. "Assessment: Recommend Interview" even we have 2 wedding receptions, honeymoon in Dubai, and a miscarried child. (btw this part was created on the note on Jun 17, 15, and I ordered my note on Aug 20, 15. )

Hi Sashiali78, lots people whose applications were transferred to HK mailed their passports to Ottawa (if the applicant is currently living in Canada). As i remember, mumof3 did the exact same after received PPR in August. Actually, Ottawa usually return passport in 1 week while it takes 2-4 weeks for HK to process. Not mention HK is now experiencing horrible delay in processing applications. People have been waiting for 2 months after done 2nd medical...some are still waiting for PPR even though their cases has been DM for 1 month.

Hi Euds, you can always email HK and inform them that you are in Canada now and ask if you are allowed to send passport to Ottawa. Personally, I photocopied both my and my sponsor's passport pages and sent to HKVO in Nov 2014...so most likely, they won't request me to send my passport.

Hey everyone, thanks so much for your responses. I guess I will send in a photocopy of the passport just in case. I just checked and actually they didn't request for the passport, only the hk criminal check, 4 passport photos, and 2nd medical. So, for now, no need to worry. Yes, I'm also aware that for HK passports it seems I can scan the pdf files or photocopy the passport...just not sure where these instructions are. I am also running into a bit of trouble getting the criminal record since I'm not in HK anymore...they need a set of fingerprinting done, and police stations in Toronto don't do them anymore! So I have to go to a RCMP accredited provider to get it done. I'm also a bit worried about the timeline...because they only gave me until Nov 6 to submit all this...but as you guys have mentioned, it will take HK police 3-4 weeks to send them the police check. Any advice about this? We are getting the fingerprinting done tomorrow first thing and mailing everything out on priority......super duper stressful.

My consultant sent a letter on monday....we got the response within 2 days!

Where should I send the email? Also, do you know if I have to send the original fingerprints to them or copy of the fingerprints is fine?

Yes, I will be sending it to Ottawa. Now to figure out how to land. No US Visa. Scared that doing it in the states will leave bad record on file, then harder to get visa.... Maybe trip to Europe?

mine still shows IP :'(

Hi,

Same thing for me, my wife already in Toronto, so we went to rcmp accredited finger print facility in scarborough to do hk police check and also rcmp check at same time. Got a bank draft from TD bank, and followed the instructions for overseas hk police check. I also sent using prority 5 day. Emailed hk police hq 3 weeks later to confirm received, and used that email and submitted proof to cic to show its in progress. I sent original to them. Hk police hq will also mail a receipt to you 4 weeks or so.

Also the email I got for passport request just gives me instruction on where to send it depending on my living situation, it does not explicitly say I have to send it to a single place.
