Hi! I am a Jan 22 applicant from HK. Our status changed to in process on August 10. My consultant helped me send a letter to enquire about my case and we just got an email back from
CIC requesting for a police check, passport, passport photos, as well as updated medical. However, we are already physically in Canada. Anyone know whether I should still send the passport and passport photos to HK, or should I send it to Ottawa instead? Can you please direct me to where I can find this info? Thank you!!!

You need to do HK police check first...since it takes 3-4 weeks to send. Re-do medical is faster because they upload your medical result. Good luck!

I'm a March 17 applicant. Status changed to IP on Sept 2, 2015. Do you guys know if it's real ip or not? No updates after Sept 2.

Hi Euds, I'm sure you can send passport to Ottawa...

I'm always wary when someone says "I'm sure ... " without giving evidence or strong reasoning why they are sure. I've learned the hard way such as after my father told me he was sure it was perfectly fine to eat sliced meat that was left out of the fridge for just a few hours. :) But you did give more reasoning or evidence in a later post.

It probably is. It seems that the new "IP procedures" started only since early May this year.

Hello braveblade,

Honestly, no one can tell if it's real ip or not because we all have no idea what HKVO is doing...

I even saw applicant was asked to re-do medical after application was DM'd.

Hi bambooc,

I'm not sure if you could see my post here. Just a little curious that you are scheduled for an interview next month. But the ip'd you few days ago. Did they send you any additional info or any requests at all? It seems pretty bizarre that they want to interview you but gave you ip.

Welcome for different thoughts as well. :)

Hello tryee,

another applicant received interview invitation same day as it changed to ip.

FYI, if you are able to read Chinese: http://www.yiminjiayuan.com/thread-192982-1-1.html

I ordered 1st notes in August...everything seems positive...VO was convinced that our relationship is genuine and asked my hubby to re-do medical.

But it has been 1.5 months since 2nd medical result sent...still waiting for PPR...

Just ordered 2nd notes...will receive in 3 weeks :)

Don't worry. You will be fine. It's just a matter of time since they believed that the relationship is genuine. You can expect ppr soon. :)

According to my GCMS NOTE, the application was in process a while ago, but in queue for interview. Note states "recommend interview", but I do not see any specific reasoning for an interview.
They only sent my wife and CCed me "Notice of Interview" via email on Oct 6, 15, the status turned IP the next day, and a second line was added to the status( We sent you a letter on Oct 6, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. ).

Hi Bambooc, did the VO comment on your application? Good luck on the interview!

What kind of comment? I didn't see any comment questioning the authenticity of our relationship.

At the bottom, there is a part called " NOTES"

for example, on July 24th, officer 1 wrote on my file: first marriage, both educated in CDA, compatible in age and culture, evidence on file supported relationship development...blah blah...and the ASSESSMENT: recommend review;

Thus, on August 13th, officer 2 reviewed our file and wrote: based on all docs and info submitted, satisfied that PA and SPNR have a genuine FC1 relationship with each other...and the ASSESSMENT was updated to passed.

I guess every time a visa officer reviews an application, he/she will write down the comments? Thus, people order notes before interview is scheduled and have an idea what the potential red flag is and be prepared?
