Totally agree with you Proudnanny. It's really unfair for the caregiver after paying everything. The processing of applications is beyond caregivers control. So, I hope employers understand the situation too.
I had my fair share of employer who took advantage of my “need”. As soon as I got my work permit, they suddenly lowered my salary. I couldn’t say no because it will take me many months again to work with a new employer. They know that I’m their “captive” due to employer restricted work permit.

I know there are employers here in forum. Please, be fair to your employee even if she’s your relative and you paid for her fees. I am glad that the new batch won’t experience what I went through, because you can work with different employer the next day you quit. The only set back of this new program is the absurd duration of processing.

Hi Guys,

We just received an update from our Representative that my sister ( Applicant ) received the eligibility letter and she has been asked to pay Rights Of Permanent Residence Fee to continue processing the application. I guess they are starting to work on our papers. It’s also mentioned there that she passed the Medical Exam on November 12, 2021 while in fact she did it back in March 2020. Will keep you posted for any further updates.

That’s a very good news! Congratulations. Could you please share her timeline! Outside or inside canada? And which year she applied?

They initially asked from the beginning like Birth Certificates of the kids and Explanation Letter why you are hiring for HCCP. Then no updates for 1 year and 8 months, no updated forms has been requested.

Hi Gjs40, i have read from your previous post that your sister is single & outside applicant.

And from your previous post it was Officer JG who was the signatory on the letter.

I am just curious if its still Officer JG? Or a new Officer now?

Thank you for the updates.
