Hold pgwp, Is trv mandatory?

My TRV will expire next month. I am on pgwp currently. If I am not traveling overseas Do I still need a TRV for the duration of my pgwp.

No but you should extend it anyway, what if you need to travel suddenly? You wont be able to come back until you get your extension which could be months.
