start networking in your community. If you are Muslim, go to your Mosque. Im not going to lie to you....finding a job these days is definately not easy !!!!! Good luck !

If you don't mind doing some general labour job, check out staffing agencies such as Staff Plus. They'll find you general short-term factory jobs. Just tell them you can't lift heavy so that they will only bother you with light jobs such as packing boxes, etc.

Lot of people whine about no jobs (even Canadian born), but in the end it's about people willing to work or not. General labour job will earn you some money while you keep looking for actual work in your own field.

I live in Richmond Hill, Right next to markham .. There is an immigrantion services office on Yonge st, and 16th ave. They have 2 offices in Markham, you can find them on thier site http://www.welcomecentre.ca/york/markham_north.html

This is a Government run services, which costs you nothing, they offer services for new immigrants, like english classes, job searches, resume building, and many more.

This is a really good place to start your new life in Canada, they will help you get setup, in everyway

Hope that helps
