Hey guys, could you pls advice on the below query ?

In total I have 13 months in Canada (1 Year PGWP + 1 month implied status) and I am getting a job in NOC-B category. However as per the offer letter it would be a part time position but the working hours will vary between 25-35 hours a week.

Assuming I work on average 28 -30 hours a week, Can a 13 month part time work experience in NOC B category which sums upto 1560 hours be considered 1 year Canadian experience under CEC category ??

Or do we have to work part time completely for 24 months before showing it as a 1 year experience.

Response would be highly appreciable. Thanks much :)

This is how you calculate work experience duration.
- Every week where you worked at least 30 weeks is counted as 1 week for work experience purposes. It doesn't matter if you worked 30 hours or 60 hours or 90 hours. It's still only counted as 1 week.
- For any weeks where you worked less than 30 hours, add the hours together and divide by 30. This is how many weeks of part time work experience you can claim for your part time work weeks.

Thanks much! So for example, if you complete these hours in 14 months instead of 24 months can you apply for your CEC entry straightaway ??

Technically you wouldn't apply for CEC directly. You would update your Express Entry profile to show you have 1 year of Canadian work experience after the 14 months. You would then wait for ITA which is points-based (right now you need to have around 460 points to be picked).

True, currently I am at 455.

Do you think as per the present scenario, we can expect a drop down in the score ?

I don't know. Sorry.
