dear friends,
1}for Adaptability u can claim 5 points if u have
relatives in canada for example uncle, aunt, brother, sister... and age should be 18 years older then this time u can claim 5 points. for this u need their PR card copy and their electricity bill or any sort of bill which prove their presence in canada.

2}this time cic will not give any spouse education points u can claim ur spouse points only when ur spouse having min. ielts band clb 5.

so, these are two easy options by u can claim 10 points in Adaptability section.

minister kenney spoke to media he said “We are continuing to make changes to create a faster, more flexible immigration system,. “We have made great strides in the past year, but we know there is always more work to do and look forward to even more improvements and reforms in the year ahead.”

•proposed improvements to the FSWP to place greater emphasis on selection criteria that have shown to contribute to better labour market outcomes, so that Canada can select skilled workers who would be able to integrate more rapidly and successfully into the Canadian labour market;

•reduced by over three-quarters, from 640,000 to close to 150,000, the total number of people in the Federal Skilled Worker backlog of applications prior to February 27, 2008;

Re: IELTS score clarification

im giving brief on regulated and non regulated

Regulated Occupations

In Canada, some professions and trades are regulated and require licensing. However, the vast majority of occupations remain unregulated. The system of regulation is intended to protect public health and safety by ensuring that professionals and trades people meet the established standards of practice and competence. About 20 percent of Canadians work in regulated occupations, such as engineers, medical doctors, dentists, veterinarians, electricians, physiotherapists, nurses, teachers and so on.

If your occupation is regulated, the recognition of your qualifications will be determined by the appropriate provincial or territorial regulatory body. Regulated occupations are governed by provincial and territorial In most cases, you can only apply for licensing after you are settled in Canada. If you want to work in a regulated occupation and use a regulated title, you must have a license or be registered with the organization regulating the occupation. Some occupations are regulated in certain provinces and territories but are not regulated in others.

You can obtain more information about the specific requirements for your profession and associated costs for licensing, certification, or registration by contacting the relevant regulatory organization governing your profession in the province or territory where you intend to settle.

Non-regulated Occupations

Non-regulated occupations are those professions or trades for which there are no legal requirements or restrictions for practice as regards to licensing or registration. In other words, you do not need a license for an unregulated occupation. For some non-regulated occupations, certification or registration with a professional body may be available to applicants on a voluntary basis, which may be helpful for employment purposes.

For non-regulated occupations, requirements for employment can vary depending on the job and employer. Employers may expect you to demonstrate a certain degree of skill and competence, to have completed a certain level of education, and to have acquired relevant experience. Since these requirements are not regulated by provincial or territorial associations, it is entirely up to the employer to decide whether your qualifications acquired outside Canada are equivalent to Canadian standards.

In general, if your occupation is non-regulated, recognition of your qualifications is normally at the discretion of the employer. You will have to show to the potential employers that you possess the experience and training necessary for the job. Even when your occupation is not regulated, some employers can still require you to be registered or certified with the relevant professional association as a condition for employment.

You can contact employers in your area to find out what the general expectations are for employment in Canada in your occupation.

You can also consult the National Occupational Classification (NOC) web site at http://www23.hrdc-drhc.gc.ca/ for employment requirements for your occupation.

Canadian Labor Market Information Resources and Job Banks

Many web sites provide information on job opportunities, employment requirements, local, regional and national labor market conditions, current and future career prospects, career planning and development, and educational and skill-learning opportunities. Some job banks are public and many others are privately owned. You may be charged a fee to access their job listings or to post a resume on their web site. You can conduct an on-line job search in any part of Canada. You may refer to the following web sites for general and occupation-specific information.

Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC) Offices

Government operated HRSDC offices in Canada provide information and services for people looking for employment. Many jobs are posted either on billboards or on self-serve computers at local HRSDC centers. HRSDC also runs the Job Bank and the Electronic Labour Exchange, an Internet site that matches jobs to people’s skills and vice versa. Employers use the ELE to advertise jobs, and job seekers use it to advertise their skills to potential employers throughout Canada. You can find the nearest HRSDC office listed in the blue pages of the telephone book under HRSDC.

You can visit the national web site of HRSDC, which is also a gateway to many other web sites, at http://www.hrdc-drhc.gc.ca/.

The former departments of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and Social Development Canada have joined to form the department of Human Resources and Social Development Canada.

What do you mean by "parent's supervisa will resume very shortly"? The supervisa was never stopped and people are still applying and being approved now. Parent sponsorships were stopped.
