Help Please!
I arrived in Canada on a two year working holiday Permit in August 2015.
Due to not having a job lined up and insurance only till June 2016 my visa was only granted till June 2016.
I now want to stay for the full duration of the Visa. The customs officer at the time said I would like to extend my stay to just come and cross the boarder again. I just want to check if this is worth while or possible if anyone has any info. or should i just re apply for the Visa?
Any info helps, Cheers pete

What country are you from? Most of the working holiday programs are only one time things now.

In terms of going to the border, it might be worth a shot. The CIC website states that if you got a permit issued short because of insurance that you can't have it re-issued or extended but the CBSA guys are usually a little more flexible. Might catch someone on a good day?

Yep, you can't get another permit anymore unfortunately.

If you are near a border go give it a shot and see how far you get with changing the date on your current one, can't hurt.

I believe my Visa was granted on the old system before the new rules came in? Would that mean im able to apply for a new Visa

Pretty sure that it is the date that you activated your permit, not applied. 2015 onward are subject to the new rules.
