Hi all,

I will be visiting Canada in few weeks time and looking at getting travel insurance.

Should I get something like Visitors to Canada insurance from a Canadian company?

http://www.coverme.com/products/travel-insurance-visitors.jsp
https://sunlife.rsatravelinsurance.com/

Or should I get travel insurance from a company in my country of residence?

Thanks,
Danny

its highly advisable to buy travel insurance from Canadian company only..
this is because to 2 major factors.
1: they will quote you a premium which is very realistic though might be little high.
2: if a claim incur they will honour it and pay it as per policy guidelines.

if you buy travel coverage from your home country there are chances of fallling a claim under exclusion which local insurance company are not ware what services are covered in North america and what not.

so safe few $ you will jeopardise the whole reason of buying the travel insurance.

www.safevisit.ca check this...dont go for cheap coverage you will regrett.
