Hi

I am currently applying for a temporary work visa through the IEC.

One of the questions ask if I am in a Common Law relationship. I am in a relationship but I dont think it is Common Law. I live in the UK and my partner lives in Canada. We have never lived together as a couple as distance has always been an issue. Does this mean that i am NOT in a Common Law relationship?

My second question - I want to live with my partner in Canada & I can do this for up to a year through the IEC. Is there anything I can do when my temporary work visa runs out? I have been told that I can apply for another temporary work visa through the IEC but I have to put in another application form and if it is successful I will have to leave Canada & come back to get my work visa. I have to do this 3 months before my visa runs out when the IEC is accepting applications. Firstly is this correct? And secondly what happens if my visa runs out and the IEC are not accepting any applications?

Any information is appreciated.
