I have another question about the financial evaluation form to sponsor. I don't have any income and I'm sponsoring my husband. We are in the US and I'm a stay at home mom and he is the provider for our family. Page 4 of 6 is a page of calculation of income based on the option C printout....do i just put zeros and then for other income do I put my husband's income on question 13b? The next page says your spouse's current situation...I'm assuming I fill out his income information and then the last page 6 of 6 says calulation of income based on Option C printout...do I fill out that based on his income? sorry for the dumb questions but I want to make sure I do this right. Thanks.

Are you sure you are completing the correct form? The financial evaluation is not necessary when sponsoring a spouse. You don't need to be completing any of that.

Really? how come I have that printed out with my other ones? It's the form IMM 1283. It says Financial evaluation on top. There are 6 pages to it. Thanks.

You don't need it. See the document checklist, it clearly states there. You DO need to submit Option C however.

I thought i din't need the option c if sponsoring a spouse from the US. We are both in the US ad I don't have an income, only he does. I was going to send in our most recent tax info here.

No, you NEED to send them that. It clearly states it on the checklist as well.

Really? I thought it was if you pay Canadian taxes. What would I write on that if I have no income?

I just called Revenue Canada and they said they can't send me the 2010 or 2011 cause I didn't file taxes...so they are sending me my most recent that I did in Canada which is 2000. I will send my 2011 US taxes as well.

In the document checklist it also says if you cannot provide the option c form indicate why not. Your explanation would be sufficient. It also states if not providing an option c form and you have 12 months of paystubs to submit them. However since you are a stay at home mom you just need to explain that. Goodluck!
