Help with adding current absence in Citizenship application.

I am currently applying Citizenship application for my mother, online. She has 1117 days of presence in Canada in the last 5 years. However, she had to urgently travel back as we were finishing the application (We realised she needed PCC and it's faster to get it in person back in India).

There's a section for adding absence times and I am adding her current absence there. However, there's no option to say that it's "ongoing". It always asks for leaving Canada date and returning back date. However, since she's out right now, how do I manage this? Should I add the return date as the date when she sign's the application online? They physical presence calculator will be able to calculate based on that.

If she's not coming back before she applies, you can always list the return date as the day the application is signed and add an explanation letter.
But really, if it's just an urgent trip to gettthe PCC and come back, then she's gonna be back in Canada relatively soon after she gets the document she needs to actually finalize her application, so why not just apply once she's here?
